I never cared much for money; all I ever wanted was a happy married life with the love of my life, Sahil Malhotra. When we agreed to marry, I was filled with joy, believing that we would build a beautiful future together. But what should have been a dream soon morphed into a nightmare.

The love I once cherished vanished, replaced by a suffocating darkness. Each day felt heavier, with the hope of love and I never imagined that the man I adored could cause me so much pain. I fought for us, hoping that one day he would love me back, but the love I longed for never came.

I have made my decision: I will divorce him and reclaim my life. I refuse to let this misery define me any longer. My only goal now is to protect my younger brother, my last tether to a happier time. Since the tragic accident that stole our parents, he has become my everything.

I won't be dependent on anyone. I will build a career, forge my own path, and create a life where we can both find peace. With every step I take, I'll carry the weight of our past, but I'll also embrace the hope of a brighter future. I'm ready to fight for our happiness, no matter the cost.

Ishika's chest heaved with fury as she glared at Sahil. "We're getting divorced, Sahil! I don't care what you think of me anymore. Focus on Shanaya, not me!"

Sahil's face darkened at the name. "What do you mean by that?" he demanded, his voice dangerously low.

Her hands trembled as she snapped, "Don't act clueless! I know about you and Shanaya. You're having a child with her. You cheated on me, so spare me the lectures!"

His jaw clenched, eyes blazing. "That's none of your business," he growled.

"Then my relationships are none of yours," she shot back.

"Say that again," he hissed, stepping closer.

The room was cloaked in tense silence, the air thick with unspoken emotions. Before Ishika could react, Sahil closed the distance between them, his grip firm on her arms. It wasn’t painful, but it was enough to steal her breath. Her heart pounded as she blinked up at him, caught in the storm of his gaze. The intensity in his eyes made her feel exposed, vulnerable.

His face was inches from hers, his breath warm against her skin. When he spoke, his voice was a low growl—cold, menacing, laced with a dark promise.

"Until I publicly announce our divorce, you are still my wife, Ishika. Don’t forget that."

He leaned in, his lips almost brushing her ear, his voice dipping into a dangerous whisper.

"I’m warning you—be careful. Or else…" He paused, letting the weight of his words sink in. "Whoever touches you will die."
